First of all, the liquid is in there to protect (pad) an injured spot. If you can, leave it alone. If it is huge or in a spot that will be bumped and accidently drained in unsafe conditions, prick it with a sterilized needle, hold a sterile gauze pad on it to absorb the liquid and then apply an antibiotic ointment and keep covered for a day or two until it is healing.

Get out the peroxide, alcohol, sewing needle, and a lighter.(Also..Neosporin or some kind of antibiotic cream).First you want to clean the needle and the blister with alcohol. Then get the lighter and burn the needle.Pour on the peroxide to boild out any infection..(depending on how big it is and the color..sometimes there is no infection). Then apply the cream.Sometimes some blisters need a doctors view.Especially if they're unusual or big and infected.Sometimes oral antibiotics are needed because it could very well be a staph infection. But if its just a regular old blister..then just do it with the needle.

Actually, a sewing needle cleaned with alcohol. It's drained many years worth of blisters from playing basketball.

I would say dont drain a blister, it will give you a calice. The stuff inside is actually medicine to helo it heal. But if it is very bothersome, use maybe a clean needle to poke it

You should not ever pop a blister- they are filled with fluid that your body has made to prevent infection and aid healing.

dont do it... it will take longer to heal and it will hurt.... if u must drain it.. sterilize a needle and poke one hole in it.. then put some type of dressing over it so it doesn't tear the skin off
