Black can be defined as the visual impression experienced in directions from which no visible light reaches the eye. (This makes a contrast with whiteness, the impression of any combination of colours of light that equally stimulates all three types of colour-sensitive visual receptors.)

Pigments that absorb light rather than reflect it back to the eye "look black". A black pigment can, however, result from a combination of several pigments that collectively absorb all colors. In the Western world, black is most often used with a negative connotation. Black goes well on me, and most other guys too, that's why universally it'sone of the commonly used colors for coats, tuxes, jackets etc.

And black goes well with most other colors, including black!

Depending upon my mood, it could be vibrating, a mystery, exciting or dull, funeral, but as they say, it does not generate a feeling in between! (Only black and white, no grays, if you get what I mean)
