Before the 11th Century, the difference btwn refined and common people was the number of fingers they ate with (3 & 5, respectively). Once forks were invented, the Catholic Church opposed them as unnatural (it was an insult to imply the fingers God gave you weren't good enough for food). People were ridiculed as effeminate and pretentious. It was 800 years before they were accepted.

I like them. It does not suprise me about the Catholics. Peter their founder use to run off half ****** when he was with Jesus so it is no suprise that the church he founded is that way. They mean well though.

LOL Never thought of that but I guess forks had to get started somewhere.

I don't mind forks but I like eating with my fingers :)

YOU have JUST answered the Question as to WHY does it take HUMAN BEING's so long to CHANGE their WAY of THINKING!!!!! Which make's it hard, if not impossible sometime's to GET THEM SAVED!!!!!! The Darkness in their Mind's Blind's them!!!! Custom's are hard to over-come. JESUS said your Custom's make the WORD of GOD of NONE EFFECT!!!!! This goes for SALVATION(getting Born-Again) and Walking in FAITH, So as the CREATOR can HELP YOU more!!!!!! Very good!!!! Ditto!!!!!
