The easiest way is to go to the website of Gas Price Watch at www.gaspricewatch.com and search gas prices by state or zip code. They are constantly updated daily. You can select a variety of stations though out the country and record the prices for a period of time you need for your study.
If you setup a log in...you can save the station locations and pull them up at one time each day to record the prices.

2.89 in Saint Louis, Missouri. Its jumped up 15 cents in 2 days

wow thats cheap! here it was around 3.50 but not its gone way down and were at 3.11 regular Los Angeles but different areas of L.A vary sum may be up 3.25 gas station is 76. hope that helps

Central PA . . . just jumped to 2.85 for the July 4th weekend. Had been sitting at 2.67 a couple days ago.

i'm in Manitoba, Canada and it's 1.09 a litre here! hope you know how much a litre is cause I just wanna help. (it's about a 4 litres to a gallon, i think). this is the most fun and educational question I've had the pleasure in answering. Thanks!

In Chennai, India its $4.25/gallon of petrol. Of course, its expressed here in rupees and litres. I did some math.

Today it is 3.05 , yesterday was 2.97.Go figure! It fluxuates all the time.Its disgusting.

the average for midgrade here (noVA) is $3.09, tho if you drive a few miles out you can find it like $2.89ish
