Hi, I'm a pharmacist and personal trainer from Oklahoma.
You probably have a very high metabolism or basal metabolic rate (BMR). If you want to gain weight your caloric intake will need to exceed this number and any exercise you do during the day. However, just because you are slim doesn't necessarily mean that you are healty. Don't eat junk just for the sake of trying to gain weight. Concentrate on building lean muscle mass by doing some weight lifting activites. Eat a lot of protein and supplement your protein intake if you have to. This is the healthy way to gain weight.

Contact a local dietician and/or nutritionist. You can probably find on in your local phone book or you can call up any decent-sized hospital.
They'll be able to measure certain biofactors that can determine what foods would be best for you, what activities, and what supplements (if any) you need. They'll also be able to determine your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) which can help determine how many calories you're expending while sitting still.
I've found, in my practice, that weight gain is a definite issue for about 20% of the people I come in contact with (especially those under 30). So, don't feel like the Lone Ranger and realize that there is help.

Just because you don't gain weight when eating lots of junk food doesn't mean your healthy. People like you have known to gain alot of weight when they become adults. I suggest eat healthier foods but more of it. You can also start weight lifting because when you gain muscle you gain weight. I'm also skinny like you and I have been trying to eat more but still healthy. Hope this helps =)

i use to be just like you. could eat what ever i wanted and never gained weight. i got so sick of people telling me how skinny i was. well wait until u reach 40 all hell breaks lose and u cant keep the weight off. what i use to do was go to your local health food store. you need to buy this powdered stuff called WEIGHT GAIN. it will tell you how much to use. you add it to milk and some fresh fruit in the blinder. it taste great. in a couple of month u should beable to see results. if not u might want to go to the drs have a blood test done to check your thyroids.

Try taking supplements that are specifically weight gainers. You can find them at most GNC type stores, or online if you google weight gainers. There are a lot out there. They don't always taste the greatest, not gonna lie to you, but if you use them as the package says, it should make a difference. Also do some weight lifting.

muscle weighs more than fat. so work out. also, How old are you? if your young you could just have a high metabolism. Keep eating a healthy balanced diet., work out, and trust me, your metabolism will slow down when you get older. Just don't get into the habit of eating to much or when it does slow down you will turn into a cow overnight. meanwhile enjoy the extra energy you have right now. You will miss it when it is gone.

I was that way when I was younger. They even thought I had an eating disorder, which I didn't. By the time I was 22 or so it had caught up with me and I was regular size.
I do remember how hard it was back then to find size 0 jeans!

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!!!!! people call me daddy long legs because I am very tall and extremely skinny!
i suggest eating 4 meals a day, and try to cut out the snacks. and make sure the meals are REAL meals, like the amount you would have for dinner. Also excercise, especially biking and running, or even squats. It is also very important to eat BREAKFAST!!! never skip it! good luck
