It's only because of what they do to us blondes in the movies! I'm tired of people saying I'm stupid because I'm blonde.

I think that a lot of women that bleach their hair blond feel that they need to live down to some "dumb bimbo" stereotype and thus give all blondes a bad name. Marilyn Monroe and Jessica Simpson aren't really helping either.

Not all blondes are dumb. It is the dumb ones that give you all a bad name. I know brown heads can be dumb too and so can red heads. People just put a lable on them.

Because when people have a belief/stereotype, they look for things that confirm that belief and ignore the things that don't support it.
A person might meet many intelligent blonde women, but he's looking for stupid blondes to support the stereotype so he doesn't notice them. When he finally meets a stupid woman who also happens to be blonde, he sees that as proof that blondes are stupid. He found what he was looking for and ignored everything he wasn't. It's called confirmation bias.

It's a stereotype. Our society considers blonde hair to be the pinnacle of beauty. Beautiful people are often perceived to have an easier time getting ahead in life, and therefore not developing themselves intellectually. Jealousy obviously has something to do with it too. :)

I duno why, I have seen alot of blondes that are alot smarter than red heads and bruenttes. I guess its cause they are hotter at times I duno really.. but I think blondes are hotter.. blonde hair, blue eyes, nice body, country, damn.. I am dreamin again!

Because stupid is, stupid does. Do not pay attention to those things. Blonde is beautiful and others are jealous. That is all. You heard this from a red hair gal!

Due to all these sterotypes, media, and other influences, people form notions which are contrary to fact.
Blondes are as smart as any other person.

i think its because blonde is sooo pretty and looks soo sophisticated that one expects perfection but fail to realise blonde is just human like reds, brunes, etc.
