I took the morning after pill after I found out this guy I was with wasn't so great.About a week and half later I had a light period, about 3 or 4 days long.,(I'm not prone to heavy ones) That was Oct. 29,05. I missed my next period, and found out I was pregnant Nov. 26,05. I'm now a month from my due date and have had a uncomplicated pregnancy. But the guy I took the pill w/ is not my husband, we were seperated at the time. Could my baby be affected and who's is it? My doctors are convinced the pill worked, but I'm not, there might be as little *** a two week difference . HELP! By the way I've been completly honest w/ my husband.

I'm not sure about the affect the morning after pill had on your baby, but I used to work in a pharmacy that offered EC, and the pharmacist told me once that you need to take it within two days of intercourse, preferably the day after, for it to work. After that point there is still no guarantee, and I don't think there is ever a for sure guarantee it will work initially.

Good luck with your baby though. I'm sure if your pregnancy is uncomplicated, and the doctors say your baby is ok, then you'll be fine. Just relax and try not to stress... stress is not good for the baby. Focus on yourself and being healthy. Hope I helped some.

The only 100% form of birth control is abstinence. It is suppose to help but it does not guarentee that it will leave you without baby. As I understand it you have 48 hours to get the morning after pill in order for it to be effective. The longer you waited the least likely it worked.

Generally your fertal period is about two weeks after the first day of your period. So whomever you had sex with around that time is most likely the father.

You'll need to get a paternity test regardless. If you husband is up to it your fling can give up his parental rights and your husband can adot the child.

Next time you have flings if there is a next time buy some condoms and use them you can find them at almost every store.

Well u only get three days in which to take the morning after pill for it to work... It worked for me so theres nothing wrong with it, it's just bad luck. Although silly as u were sleeping with another guy while still married even though u r separated. If you are certain that the dates add up then u r the only one person that can know who's baby it is.

There's no confusion you've been caught out and its your own fault for not taking precautions. This guy u slept with will be the father of your baby surely he has the right to know about it. It don't matter that you dont want him but the child might when he/se is old enough.

Ive got no sympathy with people who cheat and get pregnant-- this has nothing to do with who's baby it is, i just hope that your hubby can forgive u. It will never work though cos u broke that promise

First of all, I must say thanks for being honest with your husband, because I was going to lay you out. To answer your question, There is a high possibility that your child may have birth defects. When you try to MURDER someone, sometimes there are scars. Let's just pray all works out well, for that is all we can do at this time.

I couldn't resist this: How is it that you've become sexually active before knowing someone well enough. BTW-Sex while separated from your husband is still ADULTERY. If you and your husband can work things out, then I guess you'll be raising a bastard child together. Sounds harsh, but it is still true. You may need to have some marriage counselling. It is highly recommended, because all of the anger that I am generating in you isn't half of what you'll face in the near and distant future.

I do wish you well. Stay honest.

i took the morning after pill and not long after that i found out i was pregnant with my little girl she is now 4, i had a very complicated pregnancy coz she had ccam (congenital cystic adematiod malformation) i was told to abort the pregnancy 3 times by the docs at the hospital coz she was not gonna survive til the end of the pregnancy and also told she could have heart failure at any time while she was inside me. but lucky enough she decided to come out 4 weeks early. i was told she would not breathe wen she was born but she did. at 14 days old she had a operation to take out the bottem half of her left lung.since then she has been fine apart from being more prone to chest infections. to this day i think the morning after pill caused it coz i never took it b4 i found out i was pregnant with my son n i had a uncomplicated pregnancy n he was born healthy.

You best bet would be to wait for the baby to be born and get a DNA test. You need to ask your husband if he is okay if the child is not his.

The chances of the MAP not to work is slim to none. Even if it didnt work there could be a good chance that your husband is the father of your child, depending on when you slept with him last.

I would say the baby is your husbands, the pill worked and if you really need to rest your mind get a paternity test after baby comes.

I think the child was conceived after so I don't believe you have anything to worry about.

Maybe you hadn't concieved when you took the pill, so you weren't really pregnant and the pill wasn't necessary, so it did nothing. If you had sex shortly after that, maybe THAT was when you concieved.

Have all of your tests (ultrasound, amnio, if you had one, various blood tests) come back with positive results? If so, I doubt your baby would be affected.

Consult the doctor regarding a blood test to be completely sure since your husband already knows everything best to have the test determine it.
