What do men think of really short hair on a woman?

I'm talking about a nice short feminine hair cut.

My husband is one of those men who thinks that hair that is only a few inches long (think man in a business suit length) looks butch on a woman. He says she looks like a lesbian. Now, he's met one woman who has her hair cut like that because she grew up on a farm where they had practical haircuts rather than fashionable ones, and she's used to it by now. But in general, he hates it.

Now, mine is several inches long on top, then layers down to 2.5" at my neckline. My hair doesn't even touch my shoulders, and when I get it trimmed, it will curve to 1" to my neck. It's much cooler and easier to take care of than long hair, but it's still very femminine, and my husband loves it!

No matter what haircut you choose, get a good hairstylist. A good one will show you a book of haircuts so you can choose several similar ones, and she can get an idea of what you want. If you ask, she can also give you suggestions on a good length for your face, and how to adapt hair styles you've pointed out to the shape of face that you have. Take her suggestions, and you'll *love* your new haircut!

I had one and I looked good, but I don't think the men liked it. Of course I was in high school when I cut it and I guess people don't like it much at that age. I don't want to change your opinion, but seriously think about not doing it. I hated it, and it takes forever to grow your hair back out

Some women can pull it off and some not so much, Long hair may sometimes look more feminine, but it can also get in the way during some extra-curricular activiites.

Some women look extremely butch with short hair, especially if you're packing a few extra pounds. There are women out there who can definently have short hair and look really good. At least you don't have to worry about your man getting tangled up in it in bed.

if they wanted someone with short hair they would date a dude: this is what my guy friends say...
but i personally think it depends on what u look like, some people just look better with short hair

If it's hair that's above the shoulder but still long enough to style, that's ok. Women were just no meant to get buzz cuts.

I get so many compliments on mine! actually i have more guys ask me out than with my short hair... funny thing is i'm engaged.... but as long as it stylish and maintained its sexy!

what are you trying to ask? you want to know why men like short hair cuts on women? well becus its sexy. its shows off their neck and shoulders and men are weak in the knees for our neck and shoulders. and i get weak in the knees when my husband kisses me on my neck. hehehehe.

It's not may favorite, but I shave my head so who am I to judge? It seems most of my ex-gf's have gone with the shorter look. If they weren't happy, then I wasn't happy so I learned to adapt.
