No sweetheart! I'm two years older than you so I should know! If you're chubby then that's perfectly NORMAL! If you want to lose any of that chubbiness, then try exercising. I take a long, brisk walk every day. That honestly helps a lot. But love your body the way it is. It's yours and no one Else's. And I'm sure a lot of people would like to weigh only 100 lbs. Be thankful. And go to toneteen.com for some cool workout and diet plans. I like that site a lot. :-]. Take care!!!

You should first check with your doctor. But 5'2 and 100lbs is not over weight. I was chunky as an early teen but once I started to grow into my young adult years, I thinned out and am now at a healthy size for my height. You still have baby fat to loose. But don't get discouraged it will come off with time. Not everyone is built to look like the girls on TV or in magazines.

I think should talk to your doctor about this and see what they say - Dont pay too much attention to the LBS of things and the height - In the end if you eat healthy, get a good amount of sleep and excersise - you dont need to lose weight.
I am 5'6 25 and 190lbs and I am completely healthy - And so what if a little chubby its nicer and gives cushioning for hugs and tickles!

I am a nurse and I am telling you.....YOU are fine. I think that if your start taking walks with your friends or a parent and spending time talking in a few months you will notice your clothes are starting to fit differently. It is a nice way to exercise without hurting yourself.

Riding a bike if you have one with a friend or if you know anyone who wants a buddy taking a LOW IMPACT exercise class that would work too. Just remember you are a teenager and your body is changing. Take it easy and do NOT over do it.

Models in the magazines are physically ill from not eating and other things they do to stay so skinny.

PLEASE DON'T DO THAT OK?

just exercise. Do cardio at least 3 times a week. but don't go on a diet. Diets are stupid. they only work for a while, and then your body learns to get used to the diet and finds new ways to store fat, this time only worse than before. because it redistributes the fat to the areas that is even less attractive than before.
I'm 5'3 & I weigh about 102 lbs. I think i'm a little chubby . I've tried atkins, southbeach, you name it i've tried it. Stay away from Diets. just be healthy.

You really are what you eat. When you eat fresh fruits and veggies, keep carbs to a min and eat fish, beans and lean meats you have a lot of energy. When you eat foods that weigh you down like fast food and greasy foods, you feel just like the foods- full of fat and greasy, right? So, remember, heathy life, healthy life, healthy soul. It's not about losing weight- it's about keeping your body healthy so you can live your life to its fullest and be here for a very long time. Respect yourself- respect your life.

It's more important to eat right, and that will lead to you being at the proper weight for your body frame. Take a look at the food pyramid for a start, and truly limit fried foods, eat whole grain breads and cereals instead of white breads and teach yourself to be satisfied eating small amounts of sweets instead of large servings. Hit the internet and find new ways to enjoy fruits and vegetables...train yourself now and enjoy a lifetime of health!

"chubby" at 100 lbs ? No way, you're not chubby, you're perfectly fine. At your age you need to exercise and eat balanced meals for health, not for weight loss.
