its like you tpe in one letter and have to wait for each letter to appear,when i type in this question on yahoo.

Either call Dell and tell them it's a piece of crap or do yourself a favor and return it. I've had 2 Dells and neither lasted 2 months out of warranty. While in warranty they were slow, took forever to get on internet, they said there wasn't a problem. Take it back and do yourself and your friends a favor- tell everyone not to buy a Dell, they're cheap for a reason.

Dell is in Round Rock, Texas. They have a new program installed on their newer computers. It types real slow because Texans read real slow. (Har-har-har!!)
But seriously, it sounds like an interface problems between keyboard and monitor. Definitely let Dell know you're not satisfied and DEMAND a replacement. You say it's brand new so this should NOT be happening.

update your bios ,memory, processeor or fragment your drive.
