Because all things that we encounter in life are an opportunity to grow spiritually, as well as mentally. Even when bad things happen, it is an opportunity for growth and learning wisdom. So be thankful for them as well as the good times.

Yes! In all things I am always thankful for Jesus!
I have lived with a lifelong serious illness and yet I can even be thankful for it, because of it I depend on God , I see His hand in my life constantly and I have been given great opportunities to minister to others. God is good, all the time. Romans 8:28 says that God works all things for the good of them that love the Lord and come together according to His purpose.

PRAISE YOU IN THIS STORM
Casting Crowns
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will life my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

Yes I do believe in being thankful for all things...because none of the blessings or things you have you deserve and you should thank god because without him you really wouldnt have anything...he is the person to thank for all of your blessings

Yes! But I have a hard time doing it. I have some rough things going on in my life and I often forget to be thankful until someone or something reminds me. Then I remember to thank God for His continual presence in my life and helping me through it.

YES. And you said it right - thankful IN all things. Being thankful FOR all things comes with maturity. I did learn to be thankful for shattered dreams because I could see God work through it. I think when we can be thankful for all things, realizing that God is in control and wants our ultimate good, that's real maturity.

Yes I certainly do. Even when I am not thankful FOR all things; I can still be thankful IN all things. My circumstances do not effect my relationship with the Lord.

No, I can't stand it when people are thankful for pain. From a person who has spent much time in it, it might be great once you are out of pain, but to be thankful for the feeling is annoying. Physical or mental.

Thankful in all things, but not thankful for all things. There is a difference.
