Currently on on the movie the Matrix, its about the philosophies or religions of the movie. So a lot of it is Plato and Socrates or Kant, but the religious stuff is interesting, is it Christianity is it Budhism. More than not its not Christianity, but there is apparent Christian references.
The discussion last night was on religious plurality, which I believe exists, that we all share the same "god" but have different expiriences that determine what we believe about "god".
I also have the Bible at home and last night was reading Matthew 5:13 because of Blessed Sammy from yahoo answers comparing it to Genesis 19:26, which the Bible I have referenced also, so, sad the guy gets 4 answers to a question and I had to be the one an agnostic to say yes in my Bible what you are saying makes sense, Biblically, according to this Bible.
Shame, I'm an agnostic, and I get the answers to religious questions. Whats that about?

Already mentioned,... "The Case For Christ"
And I am currently reading ... "The Science Of God"
I guess it is not just a religious book, but a scientific look at the Bible. It is pretty interesting to see how much science and religion coincide. I just like to further educate myself so I understand where Atheist, and Evolutionists are coming from. It never hurts to have an open mind and a hunger for knowledge about a myriad of topics.

I'm currently reading The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels. Recently I've read Islam by Caesar E. Farah, the Principia Discordia, and bits of the Quran and the Bible. Next on my list are Adam, Eve, and the Serpent also by Pagels, The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey, and the texts from the Nag Hammadi Library.

I was just debating buying a copy of The Message, actually. I've been working my way through Loving God With All Your Mind by Elizabeth George. Other than that, I read the Upper Room most days, and I've been reading a copy of The Bible for Dummies (seriously).

You know a book that's been around quite awhile and that I just read a few months ago was "The Hiding Place", by Corrie Ten Boom. It's not about "religion" per se....it's about love. She was a woman living in Holland during the time the Germans came in and started throwing Jews into concentration camps. She and her family began hiding them....they were discovered and she ended up in a camp herself. And lived to tell about it! It so beautifully demonstrated the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, alive in these people's hearts.
I recommend it to anyone!

The best book other than the Bible of course that I've ever read is called Abandoned to God. It's about the life of Oswald Chambers who wrote My Utmost for His Highest.
