Recently re-installed cyberlink powerdvd softwere after older verision was corrupted on my laptop. But with the older version it happend also, when I try to play a dvd, it makes the cpu usage at 100%, and the memory usage over 90,000k. Help please, this is really frustrating!!!!

Also why is the EQ disabled in windows media 11 Beta??? I can't adjust the eq or the srs wow option is disabled also when I try to play my dvd's..

Intel Celeron1.50 ghz and 504 MB of ram. The softwere came on the laptop, and my laptop isnt even a week old. So I thought it was a recent software.

Change the software, use Nero Ultra 7 (latest, but paid) it can play DVD's very well & burn DVD, CD anything. Or you can check for some alternative software from limewire.com or bigtorrent.com.
Sometimes, old softwares exessively use your computer resources.

Window media 11 is no good. Beta versions are trial version, some bugs need to be fixed. Wait for some time & install when they have removed the defects.

how much Ram do you have? What processor?
