I swear i can taste the difference between the peanut butter and chocolate that you get behind the counter and the peanut butter and chocolate in the pre-packed quarts...am i crazy????

No, you're NOT crazy, there is a definate difference in the taste of the 2 locations, so I suspect that there is either more than one packing plant, or the 5 gallon containers have a different taste due to the ingredients & possibly the actual container that they come in! Next time you get some, look on the container for the packing location & call the office for a more definitive answer. I think they are legally obligated to disclose this info to their customers, but I could be wrong! If you like the counter version, then you'll need to stand in line & order "hand-packed", which will come from the 5 gal. container.
