Numbers 23:21 says that God "has not seen wickedness in Israel." If this is so, explain why your god burned Israelites for complaining (Num 11:1), sent a plague against them for eating the meat he had given them (Num 11:33), why he burned people for using incense (Num 16:35), why he sent a plague against the Israelites who accused Moses of wrongdoing (Num 16:44-49), & why he sent fiery snakes among the Israelites (Num 21:5). Is the Bible implying that God lies when it is a matter of convenience?
Explain why I should believe that your god is all-good when the only real information we have about him is the Bible, which clearly describes him as both good and evil. (See Isaiah 30:32, Luke 14:26, Numbers 31:17-18, Matthew 10:34, Amos 3:6, Deuteronomy 18:8, Deuteronomy 20:16, Exodus 20:5, Exodus 32:27, Isaiah 45:7, Psalms 52:5, Luke 22:36, & Jeremiah 18:11 for a small sample of Biblical passages which describe Jehovah as having an evil morality at times).

Now you're just lying. Sorry.
20Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
21He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
22God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
23Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
24Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
In context, this means that God chose Israel. Ta-da! He chose not to see anything in them negative. That's love.

Wow you really don't have a CLUE, God brought about the 10 plagues through Moses because Pharaoh would not let his people go, He the King of Egypt was using Gods people as slaves, And He Never burned the Israelites they were his people, The were Disobedient in not trusting him so they had to EAT Manna for 40 days and even when he saw them through the Red Sea the even start to worship a False god, God led them to the Promise Land. Now I suggest that you get a correct bible if you plan on speaking about the TRUE GOD JEHOVAH. Thanks 1Sam 15:22 Joh4:24; John 17:3 1John 5:19 1John4:20;21 Nahum 1:2-3John 3:16

God’s spirit, not only brings revelation and understanding of God’s will but also energizes his servants to accomplish things in accord with that will. That spirit acts as a driving force that moves and impels them, even as Mark says the spirit “impelled” Jesus to go into the wilderness after his baptism. (Mr 1:12) It can be like a “fire” within them, causing them to be “aglow” with that force (1Th 5:19; Ac 18:25), in a sense ‘building up steam’ or pressure in them to do certain work. They receive the “power of the spirit,” or “power through his spirit.” (Lu 2:27; Eph 3:16) Yet it is not merely some unconscious, blind impulse, for their minds and hearts are affected as well so that they can intelligently cooperate with the active force given them. Thus the apostle could say of those who had received the gift of prophecy in the Christian congregation that the “gifts of the spirit of the prophets are to be controlled by the prophets,” so that good order might be maintained.—1Co 14:31-33.

The Bible NEVER describes God as anything but good., and the Word clearly states that God cannot lie. If you are only hoping to find something to discredit Him, then you have no interest in knowing Him anyway. You say explain to you why should believe? You should believe because He wants to save you. That should be enough, He loves you and will save you if you only trust Him. All this posturing is baloney. Jesus loves you, He died for you so that you could be saved from an eternity of hell. That is the bottom line buddy.

The answer is twofold. The Bible is encoded (Five books of Moses) from the first letter to the last. In that complex encoding are the real answers to all of our "Whys". This subject is far to vast for this small column. As we were made in His image (having His attributes), wouldn't it stand to reason that God has over the eons (time as we understand it in this realm of physicality) evolved as we have and still are. The vengeful God no longer exists and a more forgiving God came to be. (Same God, only changing and evolving. If it were not so, wouldn't we also remain stagnant, unchanging and unevolving. Note: "As it is on Earth, so it is in Heaven".

I do not know what Bible you are using, but it is not the King James Version. It seems to me that you are taking a lot of scripture out of context and trying to use it against Christians. That is what the devil and his workers of iniquity do. Instead of being 'confused' yourself, try loving God through the blood of Jesus. As an atheist, you will never be happy, and God has reserved a very unpleasant place for you. I didn't make the rules, God did. Jesus loves you and wants you in his kingdom. Repent and get saved.

Everything good comes from God, everything evil comes from Satan. And haven't you heard that Bible is not the only word of God? Read the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants.
Bible have been translated and interpreted so many times, that no one knows, if it is full and complete.
But if you really want answers, pray to Heavenly Father, He will answer you.

(James 1:13-15) For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.
(1 John 2:16) Because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world.

1 Corinthians is discussing worship services (i.e. church) It is not, however, discussing the characteristics pertaining to God nor is it talking of His attributes. Also those old testament verses that you chose showing "death and destruction" that was God's punishment to the nation of Isreal for disobeying His commands. Plus what does his punishment have to do with chaos anyway? Is seems as though you chose not to read the entire passage, but rather chose to take scripture out of context in a futile attempt to prove your point.

God is a good. BUT he is also righteous. He loves us. BUT he can't stand sin. I have a suggestion for you. Read the Bible. But start with the New Testament, so you can understand things better. It will clear up many things that you don't understand in the Old Testament.
