people are always saying that they were posesed but their christians so are the faking it or is their fath faltering and alowing the devil to take advantage of that and taking their chance to go be with god

If I may give an opinion in defense of this poor scapegoat that has been coined as the "Devil"....hmmm..hmmm,..I will do so now! In answer to your question I don't think that people are faking it, but I as well do not think ...even for a second....that they are posessed by an evil deity or demon. The illusion of someone being posessed lies at the fault of two people primarily....#1 being a power hungry man of the cloth..often known as the EXORCIST.whom in many cases has been proven to be the individual that suggests to the "posessed" that he or she has been taken over by a cruel and merciless demon..#2.of course is the "posessed" individual themself. Yes, believe it or not, there are poor men and women on this planet that are so very suggestable and consumed (more than likely) with their own "devils" that the "devil himself" has graced their bodies with his surly but noble character. Hehe..what makes them so special
that Satan himself..or even one of his henchmen would pay THEM a visit? I'm sure if Satan really existed he would make better use of his time as opposed to toying around with repressed and depressed possibly psychotic bible thumpers! Also, in many cases people were accused of being possesed simply because they had a seizure disorder, and if people still followed criteria from the days of witch trials and so forth I would have been burned at the stake long ago because I am epilepsy patient as well.In conclusion...if the Devil..HIMself were to walk into a bar and sit down beside me I would buy the King of Hell a drink out of admiration and empathy for him....and apoligize for my fellow man blaming him for their own shortcomings.

back in the 1800 that question may have received many answers but lets face it, in today's world we've learned that being possessed is in many cases just untreated mental illness. But from the christian stand point if one was possessed by the devil or demon it has nothing to do with the evil entity owning the soul, but rather an evil entity entering a body of a individual who is open to the spirit realm and usually they have either emotional problems pre-existing or are facing a spiritual break.

NO, not at ALL.
1. A Child of GOD (Spiritman RECREATED, SAVED) CANNOT be POSSESSED.!!!!!
They can only be OPRESSED!!!(the devil give's em' HELL)
2. Any-one that is POSSESSED, need's some Big Help to get UNPOSSESSED, then hopefully SAVED (Born-Again). If a Man or Woman of GOD cast's out the Demonic Force's (devil's) of a POSSESSED PERON, and then that PERSON dosen't want to accept JESUS as their SAVIOUR, those DEMONIC FORCE's will come back into that PERSON (IF that person let's them) IN-FORCE!!!! Be very WISE, sometime's you can cause harm, trying to HELP!!!!(make SURE that person REALLY want's DELIVERANCE and SALVATION befor YOU try to HELP. But you can alway's PRAY for them in Private.!!!) If someone is possessed by an evil spirit; the devil controls them and what they do. They can be delivered and get saved if they ask the Lord and people pray for them. They are not without hope.

People can't become "possessed". You can be influenced by energies...like an imprint...but no "demon" (no such thing) can take ahold of your body and control it.
