I would feel so lucky to have so many pets! Why would you want to cure them? Ha-ha! I'm sorry... I can't remember what you're supposed to do. I would call my doctor or nurse practitioner.

Fast Ringworm Cure?

Ringworm is carried in many cat's feces -- this is normal (so there's nothing wrong with your kitty ; ) It's actually a fungus, not a "worm".

If your ringworm is in small spots that you can easily treat topically, then go out and get Lamasil. It's more expensive than tolfinate ointments, but my dermatologist said that it's the strongest anti-fungal you can get. You need to use the ointment until all the spots disappear and for a little longer (to make sure you've killed it all). Be careful touching family members, as you can pass it on.

If it's spread badly or appears across your body, you should see a doctor for Lamasil pills. They're very expensive, but will kill everything, everywhere.

To prevent getting ringworm in the future, you should wash your hands carefully after handling your cat, particularly after she's been in the litterbox. You may also want to start wearing gloves when you change her litter.

The vet will give you an antifungal cream, spray, wash, or combination of these for the cats.

As for you, just go to the drugstore and pick up an over-the-counter antifungal, like Lamisil. Just read the back, it'll say if it works on ringworm. It sounds like you've got a lot of it though, so you may need to see a doctor.

You get cream from the vet for your cat and cream from the chemist for you.
Don't use human medicine on the cat; they are very sensitive and intolerant to some stuff - never give a cat Valerian, Valium or Aspirin for example.
If yur cat has no sign of it how do you know you caught it from her? Ringworm is a fungus and glows under ultraviolet light so you can check using that in a dark room.

when my cats had ringworm my vet told me to buy any athlete's foot medicine because athlete's foot is a fungus, as is ringworm (it's not really a worm, it's a fungus). I bought Lamisil AF or whatever and after using it on my cats for a few weeks it went away.

You're going to have to see a doctor to clear up yours, and a vet to clear up the cat. Your doctor will most likely give you a topical cream and you'll be rid of it in now time.
Good luck.

You have to go to the doctor and he will give you some meds for it. There are a lot of over the counter stuff, but if yours is so wide spread, I would go to the doctor. How do you know you got it from the cat if the cat does not have symptoms. It is probably something else and you need to see the dr anyway.

Ask at your pharmacy; its quite common. You will have to take your cat to the vet to be treated, even if there are no signs left. If you had taken her when she first showed signs of this, you probably wouldnt have caught it from her. It has nothing to do with a worm, and is not caused y your cat having worms (if she has).

I once got it from a horse... my doctor wouldn't believe it... I used the solution for the horse... the vet gave me tablets and wash to use on the horse, i applied the same wash to my arm... it worked..
