In other words, can you truly believe to the core of your soul that you are doing what God wants you to do, while you are actually doing something He/She considers to be vile and despicable?

I believe you are asking, essentially, whether or not people can be confused or mistaken. The answer is yes.

However, if you read the Bible and follow what it says, you will not be doing wrong. Even if you don't understand every tiny detail of the Bible (nobody does), it is clear what God wants from you. If you can look at your life and it matches what God says to do in the Bible, then you are not corrupt. But nobody is 100% perfect, so don't get too hung up on that. Just do your best.

Consider David. Consider Saul. Read the scriptures and you find all fall short of the glory of God. That is why we must accept Jesus to reconcile us to God. We are incapable of earning our salvation.
Most of the time we know in our hearts what is vile and despicable to the Lord. We talk ourselves into going against the truth because our nature is corrupted. We have desires and want to justify indulging them. So we ignore what we truly know and twist His word or ignore it.
By the way He is He not she. Deal with it.

One who relay faithful to God can not become corrupt but if he would have pretended to faithful to God then there is possibility that he would be corrupt. One who don't know deference between God and religion can do any bad deeds.

These are only a small sampling of what you're talking about. Just tell me if any of these people's names ring a bell:

Jimmy Swaggart
Jim & Tammy Baker (sp?)
Pat Robertson
Fred Phelps

I'm certain that's only the tip of the iceberg.

The quote "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" seems to fit...

It is very possible to encounter that situation. Just look at the world's history- many major wars were started by people who believed that God was on their side.

Job stood strong so have many others. Many have failed..However, those outside of any belief system, fail to even realize their corruption.. That is why scripture says a righteous man falls many times, the unrighteous only once.
