Years ago, a family I was visiting had green peppers deep fried in some kind of batter (beer is an asumption). It was absolutely fantastic, anyone with a recipe or directions on how to do this out there? Thanks!

I use Italian breadcrumbs. Egg-wash the peppers, dredge in seasoned Italian breadcrumbs, deep fry. Zucchini is awesome that way as well.
