I've been reading and answering some of these questions, and I'm completely horrified at how bad the writing is. I swear, most of the people asking questions don't seem to be able to spell or even frame a coherant sentence.

Is it the schools? Is it laziness? Are most of the questioners 11 years old? WTF is going on here?

This is what happens when kids are not graded, so as to spare their feelings.

It's true; there's been a whole movement in the past ten years to allow children to root around and try to find the correct answers, whether in mathematics, or English, with no punishments or demerits for incorrect answers, and yet no rewards for answers that ARE correct.

The current crop of 12 to 20 year-olds can't read, write, compose or spell, and what's worse, they think their puny efforts are "good enough".

Sad, isn't it?

It's definitely you. The literacy rate in this country has been the worst among the developed nations for as long as there is a record.

And, to answer your other question, yes, it's the schools. Elementary education in the U.S. is, again, the worst among the developed nations.

All of the above. The part I find humourous is that no one knows how to research questions.
