I was raised Cathloic but am now Christian. I found that the catholic religion worship men not Jesus and that is who I choose to worship, also I never see a Catholic take a bible into church. Yet a Christian takes there bible everywhere with them and reads it, If you are not happy where you are then you should try and find a good Christian church and turn to a King James Bible for guidance I am sure you will find peace of mind and soul in that. Good Luck and God Bless

I was baptised catholic, only went to church with the school and if there was a funeral. In elementary school I was never really taught about the religion, so when high school religion class came along and it was time to know about christianity, I was dumbfounded because I didn't know any of the answers. I lost the faith of God in my early teen years, however, I haven't returned to him because I have another faith that I believe in, paganism. If you don't find that the church doesn't follow the book, then search around for another one. There are some chances though that another one might intrigue you, but not enough to convert you. Good luck with that.
Blessed Be

I think you will agree that God didnt intend for His church, not catholic or baptist or whatever, to be so seperate in all these different religions, beliefs, and which there is only one true way. We dont follow the book of acts as God set it up but instead have changed, re-written and perverted, not His Word cause He promised His Word will endure, the church corpratly.

I am 30 yrs old and I also was raised Catholic... However I am no longer pratcing that faith. I found there are to many man made rules that apply with them. For me and my family we serve the Lord. I go by what the Bible says and nothing else. I am now in a nondenominational church and they accept everyone no matter what. Oh and just one other thing it is NOT the church that makes you a Christian it is what you believe and stand for.

Hi,

There are many people out there that don't follow any part of the Bible whether they are in "church" or not. To me, it's not about following any type of "religion" but about an enduring and loving relationship with God through His son, Jesus Christ.

God wants us to live our lives without excuses. There is no excuse that we can come up with that will more accepting that Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.

Instead of looking at they way others are or aren't following the Bible, spend time in prayer and ask God to lead you and direct you by His Holy Spirit so that you don't miss out on anything He has for you.

I hope this answers your question without being too preachy.

What doctrines of the Acts doesn't the church follow? I'm a Catholic, but we studied the Act in school. I'm not sure what specifics you're referring to.

Its not your feeling but God itself trying to revel to you that there's more. Most churches don't practice the book of Acts because there's no advantage in it for them. The most of them are after your money. I myself attend a non denomination church call Times Square Church. I least there, the bible is preach and put into action.

The book of Acts has 28 chapters. It is hard to discuss such a vague question.

Please be more specific.

With love in Christ.
