Questions are only senseless if the question itself is asked without an answer honestly being sought or if, like some religious sects, you the person who asks the question believes that reality isn't reality at all but is illusion. In other words, if the question posed corresponds to an answer that can be found or postulated in reality and if reality actually exists then the question isn't senseless. Conversely, if the reverse is true all questions are indeed senseless. However, since you have posed this question only you can determine for yourself whether it is senseless or not.

Another point to consider is that in using the universal designation of 'all' a question is internally posed: 'are all questions senseless?' and 'how can you determine that all questions are senseless unless you have access to all information that might be given as an answer and have been able to determine that said information is also senseless.'

There are two things that make me continue to pay attention to the questions that people post in here: the thought that I might be helping someone who is in a desperate situation and the reward system, the points we get for our answers. I dare say that not a single question is purposeless, because all of them say something about the person who asks, whether that someone is bored or sad or wants to share his/her joy or experience with other people out there. Try to approach every question as a challenge, whether it forces you to adopt a position regarding a certain issue or it demands you to decipher the personality of the one who asks and you will find that you are not actually wasting time hanging around. I respectfully disagree. Not all questions are senseless. Have you heard the expression.."There is no such thing as a stupid question?" I am a true believer in that. For someone to ask a question..means they are half way on the road to a solution. Seeking help is important and Yahoo! Answers does provide a way for a person to ask a question and receive thoughtful answers (from most).

I think because alot of questions are being asked by teenagers and some by adults that are just trying to get a "rise" out of people in here....I just ignore the questions that are "senseless" and go to the next...have you tried that new Yahoo Answer that is being posted each time you sign on? Go in there ...the questions are awesome and you will enjoy the difference....Good Luck

I have to say I am in agreement with everyone here... THIS question is one of the more senseless ones...

What I want to know is why most of you people can't be bothered to correctly type up a question or answer... why is the grammar and spelling always atrocious... we've all been using computers since we were kids... have we not learned how to type?

Because most often time's the awnser's leave right where you were before, asking, and the awnser's dont really do anything but provide information. It's you that has to make the effort.
