my friend after a year relationship is breaking up with her boyfriend but that's cuz he was flirting with me but you gotta understand he doesn't flirt it's not him but he did it to me now she is po'd but i gotta know how am i gunna deal wit her gunna be ex because i sorta like him but i don't wanna hurt my friend's feellings if i go out wit him. It was right to tell your friend he was flirting. You also could have told him to stop or you would tell his girl and if it stopped then not have said anything Either way what's done is done. Don't blame yourself for their break up but I definitely would advise against going out with him. A friends ex is always off limits unless you want to lose a friend. Boyfriends may come and go but a true friend will always be there and you don't want to jeopardize your friendship over a man.

If they are breaking up because of a little flirtation, it was inevitable that they break up anyway. I would say there's a good amount of insecurity on all sides if you need to ask about going out with this person, or if there's going to be any problems. If your friendship with this person is so fragile, that a little flirtation puts it in jeopardy, there's a big problems somewhere. You need to learn how to communicate openly and really listen as well as hear. Listening means not thinking about what your reaction is going to be, but rather understanding exactly what the other person is saying. If this "friend" is really a friend they wouldn't let petty things like flirting be such a bother.

Do you know for sure that the break-up is as a result of you flirting with him. And if he was flirting with you how can you say it is not him? And if you do decide to go out with him do you think it will bother your friend more or just confirm the opinion of you that she has now? It sounds like you have decided to go out with him regardless of the consequences and really dont care about what she thinks or I doubt you would have flirted with someone you knew was in a relationship.

Are you guys still in high school? I had to deal with my friends liking my ex boyfriend in high school all the time. It was weird. But since he didn't like them there was no reason for them to date. If your friend stops talking to you anyway, I don't see why the two of you shouldn't date. Rememer he is on the rebound though. Too soon to start dating him. Actually the same thing happend to my sister. My sister and her boyfriend broke up. Then my sister's best friend starting hanging out with himand they ended up going out. It wasn't right. My sister's friends response to going out with the guy was "You can't help who you like." But the thing was they ended up breaking up and she ened up marring and really hot guy and my sister got engaged to another guy from high school. They are still friends even though they now live in seperate states. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck.

Yes its both of youre faults! Some friend you were to be flirtting in the first place, what if it happened to you??? Id dump you as my friend all together, as not respecting, and any guy who goes off and flirts should of been honest to the one he loves to begin with!
