I wouldn't do it for money...I would however seriously consider doing it for someone I care about...

I have a lot of respect for surrogate mothers. I know, having had two children, that I could not go nine months bonding with this little inside of me and then give him/her to someone else.
Thank God there are people out there that are so selfless they can provide a child for these parents. They are amazing people (the ones that do it for the family and not for the money).

I am a surrogate mother and I dont think that the money should be the reason you are doing it.

i'm getting over 25,000 as a first time. It goes up after that

No amount. I would never do it becaue even if it wasnt techinically my child I would not be able to give it up. also I would not want to put my body through the stress of pregnancy and not get to keep a baby. Money is not worth the price it does to your body and emotions.

I would only do it for someone I cared about deeply. I would only charge the about need for medical care...medical copay and any medication needed. Maybe some money for child care for my own children when I am in the hospital. But nothing for profit.

If it were for a very close relative or friend, I would do it free of charge, just to know that they were able to have a child of their own with my help, would be payment enough.

for someone I knew I couldn't charge. Just knowing that I helped someone experience the joy that I have raising children would be payment enough

i almost did it once when i was in college. someone was offering 50K for a blonde/blue eyed college student to be an egg donar. but then i read up and you have to give yourself daily shots. i couldnt do it. but i think now i would. i dont know if i would CARRY the baby, but i would totally donate eggs if i had someone to give me the shots (i have no problems with needles, i just dont know how to use one on myself!)
