Do we have a stereotypical image of what someone from other religions or no religions believes?

What is a stereotypical "christian" or "muslim" or "pagan"or "atheist" or "agnostic" or "evolutionist".

Do we, here on yahoo answers, any of us fit the "stereotype".

Why do we do that, stereotype. Has it made conversation easier or harder.

A better question is why do people choose to label themselves at all? Why do people call themselves one thing when truly it doesn't fit in with their own beliefs? lol. I know some Atheist that say they don't believe in God but really they believe in something so is it just the name "GOD" that they don't believe in? People can never fit in under some label and general description. We are all too unique for that.

I suspect we all do. There are better "stereotypes," to use as well. The problem is worsened by the fact we tend to use our "public" personas as well, limiting the depth and range that would exist in a face to face discussion.

I don' t think it is the stereotypes that matter so much as the bandwidth limitations on the net. If we were all in a room, I bet we could come to consensus. Well, most of us anyway.

People classify themselves, then give wishy washy answers from one day to the next. I see this happen the most among those who call themselves Christian, so in my mind it's unbelievable. If that is what you mean the answer is yes, but people do this to theirselves.
It makes the conversation harder because there seems to be no reasoning to the madness.

Well, I think it has made it harder. And I think we all stereotype. Including me and you. HAHA. I just stereotyped stereotypes. That just proves not all stereotypes are wrong. But I agree with you.
