When you sing this solo, pretend that you are not on stage and that you are at home. This is the only way that you will be able to concentrate enough to project your best vocal energy into the selection. Also, think about your motivation for participating in this talent show. Think about what you'll obtain by participating in the show. Do all of this while singing your solo - the next thing that you know - it will be over and you will have done great!

Whatever you do, don't picture them in their underwear.

Don't picture the crucified Christ on a cross in the balcony. (I'm serious, when I had to sing a huge solo in a Christmas concert and had terrible stage fright, the concertmistress of the accompanying orchestra told me that this would help me overcome my fear.)

What has worked for me as a performer who has regularly experienced some kind of stage fright is to find a focal point in the audience. I had to sing in a major program last year and my younger sister was sitting about halfway back. I kept looking at her and her roommates and got through the song with no problems.

Practice lots. That really helped me feel more comfortable. Then try performing in front of smaller groups to build up your confidence. It's always nice to have a few ringers in the audience to get the applause started when you finish too. And keep your voice conditioned! I drink hot water with lemon juice and a couple of drops of honey constantly when I'm preparing for a performance. You'll do great!

Practice for as many people as you can! More importantly, practice on the stage you will be singing. It will help if you are familiar and comfy with the environment you will be performing in.

This sounds scary but picture the people naked or picture them in some embarrased type of state think of the audience in a perdicament or focus on that some one that you know and think of it as you singing to them(like a boy you like and you want to get his attention or your mom).

tell one of your good friends to sit in a specific place and then look at them when you are performing and it will be as if you are only singing to them.
