As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, on the wall directly above where the Supreme Court judges sit, is a display of the Ten Commandments.

It's all over the place in Washington D.C. It's all over the government buildings, on monuments, and most importantly in the Supreme Court. I just wish they would look to it a little more when they make decisions.

Yes, but they are slowly being removed from many courtrooms around the country. In Alabama, a judge got "dismissed" for fighting them taking down the Ten Commandments.

I think even if you're not a religious person, the Ten Commandments are a pretty good way to lead your life.

Yes, so what? Do you know that in the Supreme Court washroom there are toilet papers on display? By the way, the word "ten commandments" are not found in the bible.

The connection between Law & the Ten Commandments is how it is in the US. huh?
Tho I'm sure I read somewhere, there was meant to be a distancing of the 2.

Here in the UK, the Law........... how can I put it?
The Soppy Tart wears a Blindfold, implying the Law is blind, just lately she appears 2 have had Both ears covered & her Mouth sewn-up 2!

Justice is an A!se everywhere lately!

Yeah, I knew that. I think it's pretty cool how you post all of these "Did you know?" questions daily (I think it's daily, anyway. I've read them at least 3 days this week). They're interesting to read. Now I'm going to post something that I think is rather interesting. Did you know that the man who created the anesthetic went to the Bible for the answer? He realized that there must be some way to put people to sleep before surgery, just like God put Adam to sleep when God took Adam's rib for Eve. It's interesting how God gives us all the answers in His Word. Sorry that didn't have much to do with your question. I just wanted to share it with you. :)

Yes I know that. It is due to the influence of Christianity on Amercian culture--which of course no more proves it is true than Islam's cultural influence on the Middle East proves that that religion is true.

I love sanity...may it flourish and grow strong. The ten commandments were designed to keep us from destroying ourselves...and hurting ourselves...and maybe teach us how to be civilized.
