There are some excellent college pianists who weren't recognized nationally as child prodigies, even though they were, according to their stated experiences. Can these college pianists go from mediocrity and being virtually unknown to being nationally acclaimed pianists?

in this world anything is possible the ingredients required are hard-work, perseverance, concentration and the urge of achieving something.

NO. To become a professional pianist you have to win a competition or two. And have some luck. If university study helps you achieve the competition victory than it was worth it. But on its own university study won't do it.

EVERYONE has the potential to go beyond mediocrity and become highly-skilled and/or well-known at anything. It's not a question of how soon you start; it's a question of how bad you want it and how much you're willing to bust your *** to get it.
