I like to use schoolexpress.com because each week you get a thematic unit to download for free. They also have over 5000 free worksheets for all ages and subjects. You may also want to visit Fact Monster, no worksheets but a lot of free learning tools. Enjoy the year!

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but when I need supplemental worksheets for my son, I actually put what I need in the search engine: ie addition worksheet;
This is one of the things I came up with when I put "ancient Greece + worksheet in the search engine:

I use this one a lot. On the left hand side is the "puzzle" and you can create different puzzles.

Hope this helps!

I don't know about free, but I think A Beka has some supplemental items to keep your child fresh. Also, how about trying your local library? They may have many books with homeschooling plans/supplements. I hope it goes well for you!

Have you considered creating your own? Since you'll be home schooling your student this fall and must have some familiarity with the material, find a computer and printer and type a few Q and A work sheets of your own. I'm sure you could do it.

I use edhelper.com. It isn't free however but they have some of the best stuff around. You can get stuff from pre school through high school. I use it for my kids. I pay one fee a year of about $35 and then I can get as many papers and tests as I want. I even get to make up my own when I want to.
