Kindness, honesty, faithfulness, loving, passionate, non-condescending, compliments, compassion, communication, I guess, all the fundamentals of a long lasting relationship apply, if that is the kind of answer you are looking for.
There should be physical attraction, but a decent amount of courtship prior to the pounce. More mature women do not jump in the sack on a first date, at least this one doesn't.

Compassion- i think very few men have the trait. it would really make a world of a difference if there were more compassionate men.
