within the last month, 2 of our cats and our dog have been ran over on the road, today i watched a man in a truck deliberately run over another one of my cats, he went into the other lane just to hit it! is there anything i can do about people doing this on purpose?

Cats are never outdoor cats unless you let them be. If you aren't willing to make them indoor cats, they will continue to run into the road and get hit by rednecks. If you won't keep them inside, then gather them up and bring them to a no-kill shelter so that they can go to someone who will.
I'm not trying to sound cold, I really do feel for you and am repulsed at the cruelty in the world, but the answer is clear. Sorry!

Get there license plate numbers
and there is electric fence things you can get at a petstore that are quite simple to use and wont let the near the road
if their dumb enough to go to the road, their not outside cats so you could train them to stay inside

Are sure the trucker wasn't swerving to avoid hitting your cat? and if you had some common sense you'd either keep your pets inside, on a leash, or build an adequate fence to keep them within your yard area.

Yeah, report them, it's cruel... I don't really believe this is happening, but ok. Move if you care that much, I wouldn't want to live around a bunch of animal killing people, who hit someones pets on purpose.

The short answer is no. But you could put a fence around your yard, or sit in on a cit council meeting and tell them of the problem.

Horrible situation.
!. do not let the animals out.
2. Report the truck driver to the police. In many states it is a crime. he's got to be a sick SOB in any case.

Well train them to be inside pets. Or just keep dealing with them getting runover.
