Think it depends on the state. 4 years older I would guess.
I do know the people saying 18 and up are wrong. Most states the age of consent is 16, but there is a buffer where you must not have to large a gap between the 16-17 year old and the older person.
Think that gap is 4 years. So a 21 year old could have sex with a 17 year old, but a 22 year old could be charged with statutory rape.

In most states the age on consent is 16. If that's the case in your state, you could be having an affair with a 60 year old man and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Under 16 is definitely statutory rape.

Your state's "legal age of consent" should be considered when asking a question such as this. The truth is, "statutory rape" is a "catch 22." Why? Because of the legal age of consent. Even if there is consent between two legal people, it's still considered statutory rape. However, it still depends on the laws set forth by the state.

if you are 18 or older and have sex with someone younger than that it is considered statutory rape even if they both were consenting. The parents can proceed how ever they want, your still a minor.

I believe that you must be 18 and under for it to be considered stat. rape. But, the person who has committed it against you has to be over the age of 18 or 18. Not positive... Look it up under the state you live in, I know that there are pages on the web about it.

Most States have different rules, but Michigan the age of consent is 16. That being said, the parents can still press charges, it's up to them. It's not completely legal until everyone is above 18.
Moral of the story, make sure the parents like you.
