I use Veet which is hair removal cream, it desn't make my hair thick, and it actually feels softer when the stubble grows back, than it does with shaving. It also lasts longer. I would recommend it. It's quicker and easier than shaving, and it lasts longer and the hair isn't as nasty when it comes back in.
and I've put it on places it doesn't recommend you do, and nothing ever happened to me, and I've left it on longer than you're supposed to, and again, nothing happened. But I wouldn't recommend that, because everyone is different.

Everyone is right that it doesn't harden your hair. I've used the hair removal creams and tweezers and wax. The hair removal is good sometimes but it is a problem that will come back and sometimes with a vengeance. I've used it only legs with no problem but on the upper lip or other facial places will make you perspire for the first 12-24 hours after use in the areas of application. Be sure you know that just in case your going someplace special.
If you wax, this is great, easy and fast. However, have it done professionally. If you wax, it takes the hair out from below the skin surface and eventually closes the hair follicle a little at a time as you wax over the years. This is a good thing in that the hair will grow pack thinner and thinner (in diameter). The downside of waxing is that many people break-out a little afterwards.
Tweezing is great either when done by a professional, which is very 'in-style' now, or by yourself. You have total control of what you pull and make no mistakes. This has the same thinning result as waxing except that you won't break-out afterwards.
If your considering anything but your face I'd recommend waxing over hair removal cream or tweezing. Its safe and easy when done by a professional.
So, you have three chloices...all have the same result.

No, because it removes the hair and the hair that come back is new hair. But the stuff can burn your skin off if you leave it on to long or you put it in area it doesn't belong.
