What's with everyone's fixation on cussing?

Everywhere I go or who I talk to, there's got to be swear words (or sexual induendos) in there. I think that it's a lack of intelligence or a due to a small vocabulary. At any rate, what do you think?

I think it is because they were told they couldn't cuss as a child, so now as adults they exceed the limit.

I think people who cuss out of control or every other word, I think in some cases has no idea they might be doing it? And in other cases lack of intelligence plays a role here also. Just like allot of other "issues" it will be a never ending battle.

It has been part of human culture since we learned to speak to each other. It is neither a lack of vocabulary or intelligence. In fact, in certain circumstances, there is no more efficient way to show your feelings.

Show me a man who has never yelled a profanity and I will show you a man who has never smashed his thumb with a hammer.

I think it's become part of everyone's vocabulary especially since it's, now, okay for swear words to be used on certain t.v. shows and in songs.

It just makes, us, Americans look tacky and unintelligent. It is not professional at all.

I think that people have just gotten accustom too it and its part of the everyone vocabulary i try not too but it still seems to slip out.

It's out of frustration or bad habit. It has nothing to do with intelligence. There are times when you should never curse. Some can't control it.
