I've been reading the answers and these people, sadly, aren't taking your question seriously. I think it's an important question because I see it a lot.
I go to a school with mostly white kids, but we have kids of other races and I've noticed they sometimes stick together becuase other kids don't accept them.
My friend's mother was in the grocery store and a woman snapped at her "go back to where you came from, Jew".
But black people are racist against whites as well; all in the notion of stereotypes.
And the Jews in Israel are racist to the Palenstinian Arabs in the Middle East.
It sadly still exists in every culture and corner of the world. And when it is sent out, it comes back. Everyone does it and receives it -however large or small the act.
That's my opinion.

Sure. It is all about hating somebody different then you.
But, I don't see it at all among the whites anymore. When I was growing up I heard lots of jokes. My kid's friends are from all over the world and it rarely is an issue at all.
In China I heard a lot of racist jokes but there most people hang in groups and there were not as many international people.
Maybe it will continue to melt away some more. Hope so.

yes it does still exist...it may not be as extreme as it was 30-40 yrs ago but racism isnt completely gone...maybe 20-30 yrs from now, our children's chlidren will be able to experience a world where people wont judge you by the color of ur skin. I know that would surely make me happy.

Sadly racism exists every day in the world and people are making groups to get together and kill certain people with different ethnicities
than them.

yes. and it's sad that most people see racism as what a white person does to a person of any other race. racism can be committed by anyone.

And for the dope that made the comment about the Republicans being racist? Do a little research. The biggest OPPONENTS to the Civil Rights Act were democrats. And I recall that Lincoln was republican.

Yes I believe that racism will die out with our grandparents. That is unfortunate because I love my grandparents but I hat racism. I wish it didn't have to be that way.

Of course it does. The problem with most peoples thinking is that it is just a raciest thing. I tend to think that is is more of a prejudice thing and I think it should stay that way. I dont want any body to tell me who I should like. For me it is not that I hate blacks or mexicans or any one else for that matter. I hate attitudes I dont care who it comes from. Act like you want to be treated. That is the Key.
