No. An alcoholic is someone who is addicted to alcohol - once they start drinking, they can't stop.

By the way, drinking 1 glass of red wine a day has been shown to have good health benefits (prob. due to the tannins).

Ask yourself these things:

-How big are the glasses?

-How much do you drink on the weekend?

-How do you feel if you have fruit juice instead of wine?

-How would you deal with the stress of the day and personal problems if you had no wine (or other alcohol) and could not get to the store to get some more?

Visit an AA meeting, listen to some stories. Do you see yourself?

A couple of glasses? EVERY evening? Maybe. It is not uncommon for people to have one glass at dinner, though perhaps not every night. But if you do two or more glasses without fail each evening, then you at least need to start thinking about what you get out of the wine consumption. If you don't do it, do you have trouble sleeping, for instance?

Doctors say that a glass of wine every night is good for your heart. Unless you're child has to clean your own filth off of you, or you spend your whole pay check on alcohol, your not an alcoholic.

just kidding. no it doesnt make you an alcoholic, if you NEED to have those glasses of wine, then you are. red wine can be good for you too if its in moderation. if you're just drinking them to get drunk or a buzz then you might have a problem. just watch yourself closely for a while and see why you drink and what becomes of you drinking

No, but if it's red wine, it will probably help you live longer. You're getting a great dose of antioxidants. Keep it down to 1 or 2 glasses, though. Cut it back to 1 if possible.

No. If you become dependent on having the wine is different. Every once in a while take a break from it just to make sure you aren't getting hooked.

the line between being an alcoholic or not is not really based on quantity, its based more on why you drink

if you fell like you need the drink and don't feel like you can funtion as normal if you quit for say a week then thats when you should start to worry

The term for "alcoholic", according the Alcoholics Anonymous is: "if you take one drink a day, you are considered an alcoholic".

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Stop for two days in a row. If you feel like you need to sip on something, try lemonade or soda. If it weighs too heavily on your mind that you NEED a drink, you may have the first signs of an addiction.

But the amount you drink now probably won't hurt you too much.
