God is powerful enough to know what we're thinking. What's the point of praying if God already knows how we feel? Besides, does God even care what we think as long as we behave morally? Would it be better to think good things about God and not say so or to dislike God and say prayers anyway?

Because God is your Father and Jesus is your brother. How long would you go without talking to your family? We are all in the Family of God---we are one body, the Body of Christ. We humans call it "church". The "church" is not a building or a structure. The church is the family of God.

Now, the Bible tells us to make our supplications known to God. Yes, God knows even the numbers of hairs on our heads. But God wants us to love him, trust him, talk to him, and make him a part of our lives. Being a part of someone's life requires we talk to them.

God is powerful to know what we're thinking. He's powerful enough to control everything yet He gives us free will. The point of praying is that God wants to hear you talk to Him. He loves when you bring your problems, praises, or more to Him. Sometimes you'll even hear an answer. I know it takes time to pray, but you should try it instead of just waiting for God to do something. Bring it to Him and you could see results.

The question about what God cares about is kind of a toughy because sometimes you think if you don't say it or do it out loud for everyone to see and hear you don't think it's as bad. If you meditate on the thought or you keep thinking it instead of telling Satan to get away from you then it can be sinful. However, you also need to be moral in all of your actions.

As for the last question I'm a bit confused, but I think I know what it means. It's kind of your choice to think good or bad things about God, whether you like Him or dislike Him. You should look to the Bible for that answer as it is your choice, and hopefully the Bible will give you guidance. Also, tell God how you feel and what your questions are. He can help you, and is the best way to get your question answered. However, I hope that I have assisted you and helped you by answering your question.

Well, for starters, we pray because we are commanded to do so. For example, "Pray without ceasing." and "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Those are just two examples of why we are to pray, and there are many others.

More importantly, don't you talk with your friends and those you love? Why would it be any different than to do the same for God, who holds your life on His hands? Just as you speak with others that you have a relationship with, you should want to speak with God. And it doesn't have to be about wants or needs, just tell Him what's on your heart.

The point of prayers is to thank god for all he has done for you. I think you should pray you got a computer and most people don't have that. So that make you blessed and you should pray at least 5 times a day (when you up, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and when you go to bed)

We pray to show God that we are actively thinking about him, and also to let our requests be made known to him. Yes, he knows what we're thinking, but praying allows us to show our faith in him. It's another way to worship his awesomeness.

Yes! God cares what we think, even if we behave morally. First of all, what we think (believe) about Jesus determines our salvation, since only through belief in Jesus can we be saved. Second, no one can behave "morally" enough to save themselves. Third, we can sin against or worship God in our thoughts, too (an example of sin is lust in our hearts, and an example of worship is attributing to God the beauty of a sunset).

Finally, since God does know our thoughts, it's not the act of praying *out loud* that allows us to communicate with him. We can pray just as effectively without saying a single word with our mouths. Thus, it is really our thoughts directed toward God that constitute our prayers, anyway, so if we "pray" words with our mouth that we don't mean with our hearts and minds, then all we are doing is just that: saying words with our mouths.

Keep in mind that a lot of Christian practices are remnants of the old Pagan religions. So what replaces the art of magic, the attempt to influence the gods toward your will? Prayer does. Of course, when it is taken with the theology of "god knows everything," and "god knows what is best," it doesn't make sense. That's what happens when you start mixing religions around - some discontinuities like this happen.

yes Jehovah God does know what we want, but he wants us to talk to him in prayer. you can talk to Jehovah God and Jesus anytime of the day or night about anything, even things that you would not tell anybody else. you can even cry to him. you don't have to be in church or a Kingdom Hall or on your knees, if you can count how many times you are praying then you are not praying enough. also you should thank Jehovah God everyday for everything that he gives you. also for forgiveness of your sins. some times we do something that Jehovah does not like and you may not even know you are doing it.

The point of praying is to thank God for everything. You're right, God always knows what we need. Pray to God in prayers of thanks, not in prayers of supplication. If there is something you need, thank God in advance for meeting your needs. Pray as though before you have even asked, God has answered. Thank God with all the faith of your heart that it is granted.

The point of praying is to thank God.
