The shortened version of "Noah's Ark" is basically this:
God commanded Noah to built a huge boat and to take two of every animal, so no species would be lost.
Noah tried to tell the people of that time about the coming flood, but was ignored.
Noah did as God had commanded and he, his family and all the animals were saved, so when God took away his punishment on the evilness of man, Noah and his family and all the animals would be able to "start over again" so hopefully the world would be be a better place, without all the evil that was destroyed.
Have a lovely rest of the day.

The story of Noah's Ark is in the first book of the bible, Genesis from chapters 6-9 I think. The story is about a true disciple of God, Noah. In those days the bible explained how bad the world was, much sin and prostitution. God told Noah to build an ark and in that ark to bring his wife and kids and their consorts. God also told Noah to put in the ark to of evrey animal. Then God made the whole world rain for 40 days and 40 nights straight. After it was done raining God made a promise with the people never to wash away the world in that way again.

God said He would flood the world to do away with all the evil sinners. Noah and his family were right by God, though, so God spared them and told Noah to build a big ship out of so many cubits (look it up) of wood. Then God told Noah to gather a male and female of each kind of animal, and put it on the ark, so that when it rained for 40 days and nights, while all the sinners would die, some of God's creations would survive. So this all happened and Noah got on the ark with all the animals and his family, but didn't know exactly when the flood waters would go back down after it stopped raining. He kept letting a dove fly out, but then one day, it came back with an olive branch in its mouth, showing that the waters had receded to a point where treetops were visible again. Then God promised that He would never flood the world again, and I think a rainbow appeared.

It's a story about how all of the world's so finely preserved fossils came about. The Earth litterally split apart with fountains of water gushing forth, creating the multiple continents and burying all that were not on the ark in a mineral-rich mud sediment, allowing them to fossilize in a matter of a few decades and in pristine form! The torrential downpours from the upper firmament (consult the Bible for that one) also absorbed a lot of oxygen that used to be in the air, making the water have a higher dissolved oxygen content, but making the atmosphere much less favorable for larger species to survive. Thus, a lot of species died from the Great Flood, even some that boarded the ark, such as dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.

Read Genesis 6-9 for the story.
The story of Noah's ark is an allegorical myth meant to teach a lesson. It did not actually happen like that, although the story may be based on an actual flood.

God flooded the earth because He did not find anyone else other than Noah and his family who LOVED God back in return! He spared Noah and his family because they were faithful believers.
God knows the hearts of men.
Scientists have done research and found that the earth really was flooded many years ago. It's not a myth!
This was something that happened in the Old Testament before God sent His Son to die on the cross so that we can now ask for forgiveness for our sinful ways. Back in the old testament, people had to offer a sacrifice by burning a lamb to cover there sins. But Jesus was sent as The Lamb of God to impute all sins unto him so that we can be free.
God does not and never has hated man! But He hates sin. And if everyone on this planet hated God, we would ALL be destroyed.
As for the innocent animals that also drowned, it was mans fault.
Because of people who lived in sin daily, other innocent people and children had to suffer.
Even til this very day, people want to blame God for why little children suffer. It's because we are born in the curse generations of sin and because of this, those who don't know any better are cursed as well.
It's our fault! Man messed up everything.

That's the Bible story where God is dissapointed in what he had created, so He decides to destryoy the entire world....EXCEPT for a man named Noah, his family, AND just two of every animal on the planet.
Key points: God regrets how Human beings were behaving at the time (supposedly they were being "evil" - I guess that includes all the children and newborn babies at the time), so God decides to kill every human being on the planet, except for Noah and his family.
Not only does God destroy all the Human beings (that HE created in the first place, mind you!), but He ALSO decides to destroy every animal on the planet that HE created....except the ones that Noah manages to put in that ark of his.
(don't ask me why God decides to destroy all those inocent animals along with the evil humans....I mean, the animals weren't being evil, it was the Humans "behaving badly"....but hey, apparently that's what HE did.)
That's pretty much it, in a nut-shell. Check it out, it's IN the Bible....and if it's in the Bible, it must be true, right?.......(yeah, rrriiiiiight).......

It is the story of Yahweh trying to preserve the bloodline of the Hebrew who he created on the 8th day. They had corrupted themselves by breeding outside of their tribe, with those of the 6th day man and also with the fallen angels who came down and took wives from Adam and Eve's lineage. Noah was the only one who was 'perfect in his generation' and the Hebrew word means genealogy, or bloodline. He had kept the Hebrew lineage pure so that Yahshua (Jesus) could come through it as was God's plan.
The animals were taken just from the region, and the flood was not global, it was also regional, it only killed off those who had corrupted their Hebrew heritage. Don't rely on the English translation, it muddles the story into what sounds like a ridiculous piece of mythology. You have to read the Hebrew, it makes much more sense.
