even over things that dont matter, Honesy people are few and inbetween, i always catch people lying and confront them with it and they say they were afraid id be mad, what is that about im more mad when you lie to me.i dont lie i have nothing to lie about .Honesty is very easy and makes ya feel good. i wish more people were Honest. im getting where i dont belive anyone but my husband and God. Cause even a preacher lied to me today and i caught him in his own lie. No one has hurt me with their lies but it makes me untrusting to eveybody. i even had people lie to me about what they ate last night..........who cares, you dont have to lie.

im easy going and tell friends it just hurts my feelings, im not a mean person in any way, very understanding but not stupid. i guess they think i am. their lies they want me to believe make me think they tell lies to be cause im at their level it just makes them look like a fool

people do not want to look in the mirror and face themselves....
people never want to dig to deep into the truth because their too scared to ruffle a few feathers....
people are generally a**holes and thats about all I can say...
im a BRUTALLY HONEST person..which is why most people dont know how to act around me or ask me any questions because they know I will tell it like it is .....and most people do not want to face the truth....

There are all kinds of lies. Some are meant kindly, those white lies meant to spare someone else's feelings. Some are manipulative, trying to con you out of something. Some are based in fear, like the lies children tell because they want to avoid punishment or because they are afraid you will not love them. Many adults still use those childish lies because they are afraid to deal honestly. Those lies are annoying, but not as evil as the manipulative lies, where someone is just trying to get something from you by telling you what you want to hear. Those are the really evil lies. I guess what I'm saying is, try to understand why someone is lying to you before you get too angry at them. Maybe they meant well, maybe they are afraid or embarrassed, maybe they just don't remember what they ate last night (or hate to admit to bad food choices).
A lot of people aren't even honest with themselves. That's really sad. But there are also people who are cruelly honest, who use "honesty" as a weapon to make other people feel bad: "Why don't you lose some weight, fatso?" etc. That's bad too.
Try to see past the lies into the hearts of other people. Let them know it's okay to be honest with you, and you'll find they lie to you less. That's all I can suggest.

Yeah, people don't always tell the truth. I admire Judge Judy, because she can tell if someone is lying to her. I want to become that shrewd and wise.
It's not really a good thing- but it is somewhat pleasurable, in a strange way, to catch someone lying to me. Is that odd?
I consider myself to be an honest person (most of the time)- but I lie sometimes, too. We all do it. But that does not necessarily make us liars.
It's not practical to always be 'brutally honest'. If I really said exactly what I am thinking all the time, I would be in big trouble! LOL.
If it is a small matter, or if it is to help avoid hurting someones feelings, sometimes, I fib.
But I admire and respect people who are sincere. It's just a matter of degree. No one is 100% sincere all the time.

everyone lies mothers, fathers, neighbors , so on and so on. With lil kids parents lie to make it easier to control their kids ie. santa,tooth fairy,store etc. people lie to avoid pain to others, themselves and sometimes buy time. even catagorized as small or white lie to get the job done with as minimal damage. If honesty was always in place things were to take longer due to arguements and settling on judgments. This day in age were all about quick fast and in hurry. IE. go apply for a job and the employer wants to get out quick with out having you ask why you didnt get the job will simply say we'll call you. But over time lies has broaden to so much where people beame chronic liars and believing their own illusions. due to their made up thought is more appealing that accepting their mediocre fact of life.

Hmm....well, if they all say they're afraid of you getting mad at them, then maybe that is the root of their lying. Try, when you do find out that they did lie, don't get mad, but rather, act a little disappointed. You know, sigh a little, and say something like, "Why lie about that? There's no point." Maybe that will start to recondition people so they know you won't get mad at whatever their answer is. And if they do answer truthfully and you don't like it, well, it's your opinion, but for the smaller things, maybe try to keep it to yourself. It may take a while, but if you change your reaction, then they will start to change how they answer.

It's a personal fault that people need to identify that they have and then work to overcome it. Just step back and look at yourself, you've lied before and may do it without realizing it. I look at how I am in everything, take the item that I think is my biggest fault and consciously work on it until I have it under control then move to the next thing.
Always try to make yourself a better person, otherwise why are we here?
Fix yourself and help your family fix themselves. Don't worry about others, NOBODY IS PERFECT, but some of us are working at it.

It really makes no sense that making something up is easier than telling the truth, but we all are guilty of it at some point in life. You are right the only one that can not lie is God. And it is great if you can trust your husband too.

because people are afraid to hurt each other is that why they have to lie, if there's people using lies for other causes is just because they think you're no worthy (or will not understand or comprehend) the truth, and besides you cannot live without lies, it will be just not natural

a lot of people think this way: if you be honest you go to jail, you loose your family, you will be broke, you loose the person who love you, you would not get the attention and respect you would want, and you might loose your job. Therefore, those dishonesters out there think that being honest doesn't pay. maybe not in this world but in the next it sure would matter; when you stand in front of God and answer for all the dishonest deeds they have done. so please all of you out there, be honest. let us live not for today but for tomorrow.

Our minds are a battlefield, good vs. evil, spirit man vs. flesh man. Yes, in our hearts we do want to be good honest people but the devil makes it so hard. Simple things such as telling the truth seem so hard when he begins to fight us. Our flesh man wants to feed the flesh, satisfy ourselves, our flesh man wants to do right feed our soul and satisfy God. Which ever side wins is more dominant in our life. Feed the man and starve the spirit will get you nowhere but down.
