I want to start going to the gym (I'm male) and I'm not really sure what your "supposed" to wear. I mean I know not to go in cutoff sweats because it's preferred you not, but what do I wear???

Don't wear a thong with spandex! Too retro 80s.... Seriously, there all kinds of choices in clothing. Body Armor makes clothing that helps wick away moisture so you can exercise longer and be more comfortable. But wear what ever is comfortable for you. Don't try to make a fashion statement. Get clothing appropriate for the goals that you have in mind.

Depends on the gym. Basic would be cutoff t-shrt, and mesh shorts. Others prefer sweats, to shed more water weight.

You can wear just about anything to the gym. T-shirts, tanktops, t-shirts with the arms cutoff, underarmour, whatever. But if you really want to fit in, buy those everlast pants, with the different color prints. You wear those with just about anything, and you'll look like you belong.

Just wear like some basketball shorts and a t-shirt, and always be certain to take a towel. You really don't have to wear anything special, just make sure sure that everything is secure down under and you are good. Hope that helped.

It really depends on the gym. My husband wears nylon shorts and t-shirts. I have seen men wear sweat pants alos. It should be something you are comfortable in.

You can go to Wal Mart & pick up some basic running/yoga wear pants & shirt, that's always been the most comfortable for me. For more information on diet & exercise visit my group at
