I question the accuracy of the claim that P. MacDonald lives at 159 Lark Street. How can I really know if P. MacDonald still lives there?

I exist and yet you will not find me in the phone book. So is the phone book a complete truth? The phone book also has numbers in it that are not in service any longer. So is the phone book a complete truth?Isn't that how the bible is. It does not have all the information one needs and some of what is in it is not valid anymore.

Sure we argue over the accuracy of a phone book's information. How often have you seen typos there? (I've seen lots of them) Or not been able to find a phone number? (Constantly) Or seen listings that are not relevant to the one you're trying to find? (each time you look, you must go through an endless parade of wrong ones in order to find the right one) Then, there's the problem that your phone book won't answer questions for my phone area; so how can it contain the truth, which is immutable?
I can open the Bible and know that there are no contradictions or errors.
If anyone believes he or she sees an error in the Bible, ask the question.

The phone book has only accurate information for a short period of time, until people move or change their phone numbers.
So you can see...just like the Bible, times change and so does the relevance of the information contained within it. That's why we get a new phone book every year.

Can you still call the phone book a book of truth if it has out-of-date numbers in it?

I think they just call it a book of truth because they don't consider it a book of fiction, and it's definitely not a book of fact.
