Well, according to the answers here, you know the Sacred Spook is in you if you feel good or if you want to serve God. :-\ I feel good most of the time, so do I have the Spook in me? I sure hope not, that would be creepy!

What about people of other religions who want to serve God, but their theology doesn't include a Holy Spirit? What about the Israelites, who served only God and not a trinity? If they could serve God without baptism, speaking in tongues, and the HS, why can't Christians?

Christians often say that the HS leads, guides, and protects them, yet I don't see that they are any smarter or less prone to accidents and crime than non-Christians. They smoke, cuss, go to R and X-rated movies, buy porn, and do everything else that non-Christians do. There are more Christians in prison than any other religious group. So, really, what is the point of the HS if it doesn't make you a better person or do anything useful or good for you at all?

There are some simple examples of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit:

BEFORE YOU WERE SAVED:
You went to places where people were cussing, getting drunk, talking about their experiences with premarital sex, etc., and being there didn't bother you.

AFTER YOU ARE SAVED.
Being in those places and around those types of people will make you physically uncomfortable, maybe sick to your stomach, and you will wonder why you're there!

BEFORE YOU WERE SAVED
Foul language, lying to your parents, lying to you children, not doing your absolute best in school, incapable of trusting yourself or others having trust in you.

AFTER YOU ARE SAVED
"In all things, Honor Him" is foremost in your mind; your language cleans up, you become more trustworthy, more honorable, and more compassionate. Lying to your parents will leave a horrible taste in your mouth and give you a sick stomach (this is called "having a conscience"). You will strive to do your best in school and in every task you are assigned.

You will "listen" more to your conscience and less to the people who would rather see you stumble and fall in your faith.

Don't be fooled though: All Christians stumble and we all sin. Christ would not have had to die if that were not true. We are all spiritually "sick"----so God sent us "The Great Physician." FIND A GOOD CHURCH HOME. Stay in close contact with other Christian friends so that you can be accountable for you speech, your actions, and your questions. Read the Bible every day. Get into a good youth group or Bible study. Get involved in the solution to the sinful destruction of our nation---do not continue to be part of the problem.

Ignore these sarcastic answers. If you are serious about wanting to be spirit filled, I will tell you, you will feel drunk or start laughing uncontrollable, it is a nice relaxing feeling almost like your floating. You may also feel as if you're in a warm pool of water up to your arm pits. Keep praying (start fasting if you haven't already) and continue to invite the Holy Spirit into your body.

When your priest/preacher bends you over and pulls out the K-Y you'll be filled with the holy spirit.

Well I know you're full of something but it doesn't smell like "spirit".
Face it, the 'holy spirit' is just a part of a mythological triune god.
