R-7M.Ear cleaner for dogs..It can be found in any pet supply store like Petco or Petsmart. They have a good assortment of ear cleaner drops..i choose this one because i have a poodle who gets dirty ears and will scratch if theyre dirty..just put a couple of drops in ear canal and gently clean with a cottonball..you will see all the gunk come out..just do it like once a week or so You dont want to over do it because then the ears will become dry and irritate the dog even more. You ususally can tell when theyre dirty just by looking, if not then if the dog scratches alot.
If your dog seems like it hurts or cries when you do it? Then you may have to take him to be checked by a vet because he may have something else more serious wrong..like an infection or ear mites..dont put it off because dogs ears are very sensitive and if not tended to..their hearing can be effected.

1. Use an ear wash formulated for ear cleaning.

2. Soak a cotton ball thoroughly in the ear wash. Squeeze out excess ear wash. (Image 1)

3. Place the cotton ball in your dog's ear and gently rub up and down. (Image 2)

4. Allow your dog to shake off excess moisture. This is important for preventing ear infections.

5. Soak the tip of a cotton swab in the ear wash and run it along the nooks and crannies of your dog's ears. (Image 3)

6. Avoid putting the swab down your dog's ear canal; leave this type of cleaning to the veterinary medical staff

Warnings:
If your dog has chronic ear infections, consult a veterinarian. Chronic ear infections could be a sign of allergies or other problems.

If the ear canal looks abnormal, clean only the outside and consult a vet.

Do they smell? If they smeel this might be a yeast infection, in which you should see your vet. But as for cleaning them a person did mention hydrogen perioxide which is good, as well as other medicines you may get from your vet, the best bet is souk a cotton ball in the solution, stick it in your dog's ear (not too far) and then rub your dog's ears. Then take a dry cotton ball and repeat. Remember never leave your dog's ears wet, always use cotton balls during bath time. Hope this helps

My dog's ears get dirty sometimes to and the best thing to do would be to get some water from your dogs bath and clean them. I know your dog probably won't like it but, it's better in the long run. And since dog's ears are L shaped you won't hurt it's ear drum.

Clean them out with a wet cotton ball. If your dog's ears smell, you can get some 8-in-1 ear cleaning powder. It will get rid of the smell, eliminate any excess hair, and help prevent infection. You can also take it to a PetSmart if you have one nearby and they'll clean them out for $8.

The best thing is to go to your vet's office, they may even have this at petco etc.. get an ear flush. At our office we sell epi-otic. It will clean out the inside of the ear & then you can put some on a cotton ball to get the gunk out that you can see. It helps disinfect the ear also while drying it out.

Well.. doggies do not like to have their ears cleaned but it has to be done.. I use a q-tip moistened with hydrogen peroxide(moistened only) and I go into the ears and clean them out... IF IF IF you see a lot of BLACK messy stuff, then it might be that your dog has ear mites and if that is so, use a squirtable kind of ear mite medicine... ALONG with the q-tip

another alternative is to use a cotton ball and mineral oil to clean the dogs ears.
If the dirt happens to be from ear mites, the mineral oil helps to get rid of the mites.
An old country vet told me this many years ago.

Buy some OptiCare from your local petstore and start cleaning them on a daily basis. If you're not comfortable doing this, most animal groomers will!
