legal drinking age in all states is not 21 some it is 18
this is how i feel, how do they make these laws....... youcan't drink as a minor, no tattoo's as a minor, you are not suppose to leave home either as a minor, but.........................you can join the army and other things of that nature , as a minor,. so..... she is your mother and she is ok with it so i see nothing wrong with it.

We will ignore the fact that your mother could actually be arrested for giving you alcohol. Below is the introduction to an article from the NIH. Since I suspect you are looking for someone to approve your behavior, I doubt you will read it, but the reality is yes, there are possible behavioral and health issues you may face from drinking at a young age.

Adolescence is a period of rapid growth and physical change; a central question is whether
consuming alcohol during this stage can disrupt development in ways that have long-term consequences. In general, the existing evidence suggests that adolescents rarely exhibit the more severe chronic disorders associated with alcohol dependence such as liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, gastritis, and pancreatitis. Adolescents who drink heavily, however, may experience some adverse effects on the liver, bone, growth, and endocrine development. Evidence also is mounting, at least in animal models, that early alcohol use may have detrimental effects on the developing brain, perhaps leading to problems with cognition later in life. This article summarizes the physiological effects of alcohol on adolescents, including a look at the long-term behavioral and physiological consequences of early drinking.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with drinking at your age as long as you STAY home with your Mom.

I did this for both of my older children and the amazing thing is, since they were allowed to drink at home, they never once drank when away from home with their friends. Therefore, I was never called to come and pick up my drunk teenager as so many other parents are made to do.

Teaching a child to drink responsibly, if your religion or morals allow it, is one of the MOST important things a parent can teach an older teenager as they are about to fly the nest to either college or the military and if we do not instill the proper knowledge in them prior to their heading out into the world on their own, it can only lead to tragedy.

I don't think there is anything wrong with drinking responsibly. If you're getting drunk on the weekends, you need to keep your binges under control. Too much alcohol is not good for your system. Some alcohol, as in 1 drink a day, is actually quite healthy.

Also, if your mom is with you, it's ok in most states. Check the local laws.

Your mom let's you drink and you are not legally old enough? She is not a very good role model. You know that or you wouldn't be asking this question. Wait until you are older. By then you will most likely see it's no big deal and not become an alcoholic.

No, as long as you and your mom are both responsible about it. I'm 18 and I drink, not ALL the time, but ... I am a teenager. And my mom buys my alcohol for me because she doesn't want anyone else getting in trouble for buying for a minor. I'm resposible about it, and she knows that I am, so that's why it's okay.

You already know the answer, which is why you hide it from your mom. Even if she were to give you permission, it would be unadvisable. I'm much older than 17, and I can tell you there's plenty of time in life to drink after 21.

I think u should wait until u turn to 21.
And after 21 u must no drink more than 50ml in 24 hrs. If u do so ur brain cell gonna be dead and it is impossible to revive brain cells, as they do not repair.

So i'll suggest what ever ur age is please try to stay away from drinking. Occasionally drinking doesn't matter but try to be in limit.

It is perfectly legal for you to drink if your mom buys it for you. Ethics are another story. If you're drinking regularly, that's a problem. Stop now or get professional help. Talk to your mom too for giving you all this alcohol.

Well I guess seeing how your mother is buying the drinks for you she agrees with it, but there is a legal drinking age for a reason. Becareful because you can become additiced to it just like any other drug.
