connect a new box of linked rounds (Or m16 mag) feed the links in retract the bolt & release - off you go...

But if you have access to a m249 you should know this....... besides operating anything like this is pretty simple - its got to be done in the pitch dark, mud etc, by a soldier who is thinking of a million other ways to save his butt, not "How do i do this..."

it comes in box canisters

after ejecting the old box, you snap the new one in putting in the back then pushing up the front,

from there, you pull off the first couple of rounds on the belt fed ammo chain, place them in line with the barrle, pull back on the action and release

then youre ready to rock

(although the SAW is a piece of garbage...)

If you're in a hurry you can slap in an M-16 magazine and ride the bolt forward to be ready to go.

The real question should be.... why do you need to know this.
However, if you own that machine gun, then I would say "LOOK IN THE INSTRUCTIONAL MANUAL".

Thanks

Ummmm....

If you were qualified in ANY WAY to be using an M249...you would know how to load the damn thing.

Why you askin anyways?
