First of all dont go to clubs or bars to find a girlfriend... if youre just looking for a hook up then thats the place to go... I know from personal experience that if you go out looking you'll never feel successful and may end up getting hurt a lot. Dont get me wrong there are some really cool people at bars and clubs and its a great way to make friends but dont go if youre just looking for a gf.
You can always put yourself out there on the web.. there are quite a few sites out there strictly for lesbians but those can be scary too...
The best advice I can give you is dont spend your time searching for the right girl. believe me she's out there and you two will find each other. Dont be sad that you aren't with anyone, enjoy being single. She'll be more likely to come to you if youre out doing your own thing and having fun. No one wants the sad lonely girl in the back of the room. Get up and Dance and she'll dance with you.

If you're over 18, going to Lesbian clubs and bars and hangouts is one way.
If you're UNDER 18, you're limited to other social situations. There are probably lots of websites devoted to lesbians so it shouldnt be hard to find them.

I would suggest online dating, yahoo have a really good online dating site, its where I met my girlfriend.
its usually simple to find a local gay bar but if you are new to the gay scene then I suggest an online site where you can talk and take things at whatever pace you feel comfortable with.

HI I don't know where you live but in our town they have a gay night. its not all lesbian and gays that go out on this night but there are allot.its a good night had by all i have been told. may be you have that sort of night where you live. good luck,
