"if you cant change your mind, how do you know you still have one?"

everything in our life should inspire us to inquire and question. Yahoo Religion & Spirituality section included. If you are so closed minded that you cannot even IMAGINE the possibility having your mind changed (not even about the BIG things but about the million points of spiritual minutae) then you are just a robot, sadly...

The religion and spirituality section has actually caused me to be stronger in my beliefs. To answer questions about my faith, I must have a deeper knowledge than I had before. So I think this section has helped with a little spiritual growth :)

Well, yes, it has caused me to question my beliefs.

And that is a GOOD thing. Why do you say? Many reasons.

I think about my relationship with God more often and for me that has strengthened my dedication and devotion. Questioning oneself leads to a reafirmation of The Spirt. Do I have crisis in my faith? Yes, I am weak, have questioned God and myself. God forgives me and I forgive myself. We are perfect in our imperfection.

I have a better understanding....compassion even...for those that feel the need to mock or ridicule those of us that have God in our lives. I can deal with them as the sometimes confused, lost and bitter people they are rather than some unknown, faceless enemy. I can pray for these people that my inner peace, my strengthand my confidence and my love of the life the Lord has granted will help show them the way to find it for themselves.

I also have a deeper respect for those of other faiths and beliefs. In the world today, the Faithless are becoming so numerous that those of us with Faith, be it of a different creed, language or whatever, need to be more tolerant and understanding of each other and need to defend each other's rights from the daily attacks against all religions.

It's helped open me up to other beliefs. I'm a Catholic and I've always supported the idea of unity amongst all religions, but it's a much more trying experience when I see all the anger between beliefs or lack thereof. So I feel that it's strengthened my resolve not to pin people against a wall and make them believe in Jesus, but to open up my world to others -- educating and defending.

My beliefs are and always have been in a constant state of questioning, so no, not really.

On the other hand it has provided me with powerful, external illustrations of WHY beliefs should be questioned, as well as an object lesson as to what happens to people when their questioning stops and they opt follow any religious position blindly.

Not by a long shot. I spent years searching for answers and joined many church denominations in hopes of finding the answer. I finally found the answer when I realized that it was WITHIN ME and not what others said or dictated, especially when the words and the actions were highly inconsistent amongs those who claimed to own Christianity.

no. in psalms 1 it tells us that we should be like trees planted by the water side. we all know who the living water is. if we don't stay close to Him and His Word, it will be easy for the tempter to pull us away. If you search for the Truth you will find Him. Becoming a Christian is an event, but BEING a Christian is a learning process. Its a daily struggle.
These forums make me realize how much my faith has grown. The non-believers don't make me mad nor do i think of them as less of a person. God is a merciful God, who knows the extent of his mercy.

I am agnostic.

Being here only reminds me of why I can't believe or disbelieve in a god/higher power.

Everyone's interpretation (even of the same religion!) is so different and skewed.

I just sit back and go "Wow, I'm kind of glad I don't claim That one, or That one, or That one..."

the one and only relegion if you beleive the bible.

god who is first in heaven isn't GOD JEHOVAH or JESUS CHRIST cause sum up those words and they sum to e and g respectively whearas god sums up to h.

and h is described MARCH APRIL MAY.

and to His credit none of His seed will ever cause starvation or competions that kill like your wars.

WAR and DEATH also acknowledge god by name cause hidden in them is lARi and Taed two of His names that He used will still alive.

make the Lamb who is the Lamp as spiritual harbour as the will of Revelation almost commands might make peace, but likely those allied or axised against HIM would never give up power to a small town winnipeg boy.

thus words all about HIM as your bible commanded.

and why is it the true religion cause I AM an orphan and EMPEROR CONSTANTINE allowed to BIBLE so its like HE approved of Ex. 22.22.

And the Lamb is the Lamp and the lamp was "EMERALD." and thats "EMERALDDOT" which is TODD LARE ME in reverse so forward is LARE TODD.
