Right click on the file, go to properties and check the read only box at the bottom of the properties window.

Go to File, Save As, and click on the "Tools" button in the upper right-hand corner of that dialog box.

Then choose "Security Options" and add a password in the "Password to Modify" box.

This will allow anyone to open the file, but only someone with the password can save over it.

easiest way is right click the file - properties - read-only

After u save it... Right - click on it and select Read - Only...
