Yes it does, that is why when you eat alot of sodium you hold alot of water and why more. The salt holds the water because it absorbs it and stays in your system. Also if you eat alot of salt you can get high blood pressure. Just think of a mummy when they put salt on them they don't stink are shriverl up so that is exactly what salt does in your body.

science.....throught osmosis....should look it up..short version is....there needs to be an even amout of salt and water in the cells of our body...if the level of water outside in our surrounding is more water then salt then the level in our cell we take in the water because we have more salt then water.....the other way around if we have more water then salt we take in water from our cell's surrounding......that's y we get more thirsty drinking salt water from the ocean....and we retain water because there is no more water then what u alrdy have in your body to use for the salt and water level to balance.....

its has something to do with your bloodstream, and osmosis (there needs to be a balance between the amount of salt and water, so the more salt you have the more water your body needs to hold to maintain a balance) - try this website- http://www.caloriesperhour.com/tutorial_salt.html

I never heard of that, but I heard that it will make thirsty, so if you eat something salty you'll be drinking water all day.
