No. It took my wife 4 years to get her immigration status changed to resident AFTER we were married. They were on the verge of deporting her even though we were following the rules and getting things done as fast as we could, and we had our daughter. My brother-in-law was also nearly deported even though he married an American.

Marriage is no protection if your paperwork is not done.

But it seems that they will only deport you if you are not from across our southern boarder.
